2. Which version this policy covers
Earlier offline Android builds, up to build 14, contain no advertising SDK and do not transmit gameplay data. The build 15 test version adds Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) for an optional Second Chance. It currently uses demonstration advertisements, not revenue-generating advertisements. Google's SDK can still process technical data when testing ads; a test ad is not a no-data mode.
The game is bundled in the app and can be played offline. There is no game account, in-app purchase, or separate analytics service. Only the optional online services need an internet connection. This policy does not enable advertisements in the browser game.
3. Data stored on your device
Your high score, music and sound settings, and a recoverable game state are stored locally on your device. Random local run and request identifiers and a reward receipt prevent the same Second Chance from being awarded twice. These game identifiers, your score, and the locally selected age group are not included in our ad requests or uploaded to an Ember Pocket Studio game server. Google's own device identifiers are separate and are described below.
Android backup and device transfer are disabled for Pipe Tempo. You can remove the locally stored data at any time through Android Settings by clearing the app's storage, or by uninstalling the app.
4. Voluntary Second Chance
After a failed run, you can choose to watch an ad to retry the failed level once while keeping your score. Normal Retry and Main Menu remain available without watching an ad. There are no banners or automatic startup ads. An unavailable or unfinished ad does not award a Second Chance. After a confirmed reward, a separate Continue tap restarts the level; gameplay does not automatically resume underneath the ad.
Our app starts the ad-request flow only after your Second Chance tap, an age-group check, and the applicable Google privacy flow. Agreeing to personalized advertising is not itself rewarded.
5. Google advertising and consent data
Google Mobile Ads can collect and share your IP address, approximate location inferred from it, device or advertising identifiers, app interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. Google uses these for advertising, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. Depending on your choices and settings, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited. UMP manages consent information and choices.
Google states that its Mobile Ads SDK encrypts data in transit using TLS. The app does not request precise-location, camera, microphone, contacts, or shared-storage permissions. It includes network and advertising-related permissions for the native SDK.
Recipients include Google and any ad partners identified in the consent interface for the relevant request. Google's services involve Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, as described in its policies. Data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Google explains retention, applicable transfer safeguards, and its responsibilities in its Privacy Policy. See also how Google uses information from partner apps and its Mobile Ads data disclosure.
6. Your choices and legal bases
Where required, optional advertising storage or access and related processing are based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG). The privacy interface lets you accept, decline, or manage available purposes and vendors. Google determines whether an ad can be requested after those choices; declining personalization is not a guarantee that no technical data will be processed.
Open Options → Privacy & optional ads to request the available Google privacy settings again or reset the local age choice. You can withdraw consent for future processing without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. If the form cannot be reached, you can keep playing without requesting ads and try again when connected.
Local storage necessary for the game and your requested preferences supports providing those functions (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, where applicable, and Section 25(2) TDDDG). Protecting the app against abuse and answering general support inquiries serves our legitimate interests in operating a reliable game and responding to users (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). This does not replace consent where consent is required.
7. Age groups
Pipe Tempo is not directed at children under 13. In this Android test version, optional ads are available only after selecting age 16 or over. This is a local age-group choice, not verified identification or a transmitted birth date. Players selecting under 16 can play without requesting ads. Please contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information through support.
8. External links and support
The app contains links to this privacy policy and to Ember Pocket Studio. A link opens only after you tap it and is handled by your external browser. The browser visit is then subject to the general website privacy policy. Pipe Tempo does not receive browser data from that visit.
If you email us, your email address and message are processed to answer your inquiry. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle the inquiry and any applicable legal obligations or claims.
9. Retention, deletion, and your rights
Local preferences and receipts remain until reset, app storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. Run checkpoints can be removed when a run or its Android task ends. Clearing local storage also removes your score and settings; it does not erase information already held by Google. Google's retention and deletion practices are described in its linked Privacy Policy. There is no server-side game account to delete.
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights of access, rectification, deletion, restriction, data portability, objection, and complaint to a data protection authority. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. Contact us using the details above about our processing, or Google about information it controls. You may complain to the data-protection authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.
10. Changes and last updated
September 30, 2026. We will update this notice when the app's data practices change. Publishing this notice does not publish the app or switch on revenue-generating advertising.
